Activities

Canoe and Kayak activities

Our all year round kayak trips are an ideal introduction to Fowey’s sheltered tidal waters, and are suitable for both families and those new to kayaking. We also hire to experienced paddlers.

Guided canoe expeditions on the River Fowey since 1999. They also have kayaks, stand up paddle boards and self drive boats [motor] to hire. Over 25 miles of pristine shoreline to discover, we think it's one of Cornwall's best kept secrets!

Cycling

Hire a bike from our base in Lanivet near Bodmin and cycle straight out to great local trails, or cycle to one of the local attractions such as the Eden Project and get reduced entry fee.

The 18-mile Camel Trail links Padstow, Wadebridge, Wenfordbridge and Bodmin via a largely traffic-free route that follows an old railway track alongside the river Camel. Great for cycling, walking and nature watching for all the family.

Fishing

Sea fishing in Mevagissey Cornwall is a great way to spend a day out, Fish from one of Mevagissey's best Charter fishing boats by booking your trip out on Aquila in 2019. Whether your looking for a short mackerel trip or an exciting all day trip looking for the biggest fish in our waters.

Diligence is a 30ft traditional commercial fishing boat with plenty of deck space. Skipper Matt has been commercially fishing from Mevagissey all his life and has been doing trips for the last 10 years in the summer season. He has an excellent knowledge of the local waters to help you get on the fish.

Golf

FootballGolf uses the same rules as golf but players kick a football into a larger hole. There are hazards and obstacles along the way helping make the game fun and enjoyable for everyone. The game of FootballGolf is suitable for anyone 5 years old to 80 years.

Offering a bistro and an 18-hole golf course. The hotel is a stone’s throw from the Eden Project and within easy driving distance of the coast, moor and several great Cornwall attractions.

Sailing

Whether you are looking to learn to sail from scratch, improve your sailing skills, hone your technique, or gain new qualifications, Polkerris Beach is an RYA recognised training centre, equipped and managed to provide you with quality and safe experiences.

Walking

This 27 mile route is well signed with Celtic cross markers and takes you across Cornwall from Padstow in the north to Fowey on the south coast.

The South West Coast Path offers an amazing experience.  The heritage, wildlife, geology and scenery along the way are truly inspirational.

iWalk Cornwall is a collection of thoughtfully-crafted circular walks and a guided walks mobile app created by two Trewarmett boys who are passionate about the mindboggling number of amazing things in Cornwall.

The 245 walks have taken over seven years and more than 4,000 miles of walking to produce and there's still a lot more we hope to add.
